Medical Emergency Dispatch Information

When placing a call to the BC Ambulance Service Dispatch Centre, the following information is VITAL:

1. In what town/city is the patient located?

2. Where is the ambulance needed?

3. Telephone number (caller and/or patient).

4. What is the medical problem with the patient?

5. Approximate age of the patient.

6. Is the patient awake? (yes/no)

7. Is the patient breathing? (yes/no)

As the Health Centre is managed by the Sun Peaks Health Association, a community-based non-profit organization, we welcome suggestions and input from community members and visitors to the resort.

Any ideas that will facilitate the smooth operation of our Health Centre will be appreciated and considered.

Sun Peaks Health Association funds and operates the Sun Peaks First Responders, a competent group of First Aiders who are the initial responders to 911 calls in this region.

As money is always a requirement for improving operations and building for the future, donations are welcome and appreciated.

A tax receipt will be issued for all donations.
